Innovation and Politics Awards, which promotes European values and democracy, will this year for the first time include competitors from Finland. The competition is run by The Innovation in Politics Institute, and its Finnish representative is Mailand Communications.
The Innovation in Politics Institute is a privately funded and independent organization operating in 14 European countries. Its country representatives are think-tanks, universities, research institutes and communications agencies. Mailand Communications has joined the network as the Finnish representative on 1 January, 2019.
The Innovation in Politics Awards will be awarded in eight categories: Quality of Life, Freedom, Welfare, Ecology, Education, Democracy, Human Rights and Community. The award-winning projects must be groundbreaking and innovative. In addition, jurors assess how the projects strengthen unity and trust in society, engage people, and are sustainable and financially viable.
The submission deadline is 15.7. The awards gala will be held in Berlin on 4 December, 2019.
Participants may either submit their own projects, submit someone else’s project or apply to be a juror.
– In 2019, the Innovation in Politics Awards will portray a good number of Finnish participants both as competitors and jurors. Representing the competition in Finland is very natural for Mailand, because we have always spoken for a democratic society and European values, says Alpo Räinä, Managing Director of Mailand Communications.
